The Duchess of Sussex wore a nautical-themed dress by Kate Middleton’s favorite designer, Emilia Wickstead, while attending a weekend barbecue with the Duke.

Meghan Markle, 40, has been on hand to support her husband Prince Harry, 37, and his polo team, Los Padres, at the Santa Barbara Polo and Paddle Club in recent weeks.

Over the weekend, friend Delfina Blackiere, who is married to close friend and fellow polo player Nacho Figueras, shared a photo of the couple and their son Archie at her barbecue. Instagram page.

The fitted, flared sleeveless dress sits just above the ankle and features a nautical print.

In the photo, the Duchess had her long black hair pulled back into a ponytail, and looked barefoot in the grass.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, who was also barefoot, stood beside her in a white polo shirt and green shorts.

A young child who appears to be their son Archie can be seen a short distance from the couple with his back to the camera.

The child, who turned three this year, was wearing a white shirt, with a mop of brown hair on display.

The couple’s appearance comes as they prepare to take their first trip to the UK with their children Archie and Lilipet.

She will meet Queen Blebet for the first time at the one-year-old’s birthday party during the jubilee festivities.

The 96-year-old Queen, who is named after Lillipet, is likely to miss her favorite sporting event, the Epsom horse derby, for her little girl’s birthday.

Since her birth on June 4, 2021, her parents Prince Harry and Meghan have only been to the UK once, for a passing visit where they made a detour to see Her Majesty while on their way to the Invictus Games in The Hague in April.

Her first birthday is scheduled to be celebrated at Frogmore Cottage next Saturday, a stone’s throw from Windsor Castle. Princess Eugenie and her family left the cottage before their arrival.

Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told the Queen they would keep a low profile during next weekend’s platinum jubilee celebrations and would only take part in official engagements after the King “ordered the family to meet” without “any drama”. ‘to overshadow the events.

Harry and Meghan will reportedly participate in a thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday 3 June after Trooping the Color on Thursday 2 June – but will not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony with senior members of the royal family. Jubilee organizers are said to be ‘frustrated’ by the ‘lack of clarity’ as to where and when the Sussexes will appear, according to The Telegraph.

They said they had fears the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could return to Britain for the massive 70th jubilee celebrations that would overshadow the Queen’s weekend.
