College World Championships: Final Drops Announced Ahead of the 64 . Field

With the conference tournaments wrapping up today, teams are eager for the upcoming announcements for the NCAA Posteason. The 16 regional attractions must be announced on Sunday evening. Then at 11 a.m. on Monday, the full 64-team field will be revealed.

D1Baseball.com, one of the leading sources of college baseball information, scores, and more, has updated its predictions for the post-season championship with influences from conference sessions. Now, D1Baseball has only five Big 12 teams making the tournament. West Virginia is now on the “First Four Out” list after there were some stolen bids over the weekend, with teams winning conference tournaments for an automatic bid that wasn’t expected to lead past the season.

After the TCU went 1-2 in the Big 12, the latest show the Horned Frogs didn’t host regionally. Instead, they would be the No. 2 ranked Gainesville (Florida) regional, including the No. 15 nationally ranked Florida, Missouri, and Campbell.

According to those forecasts, The Big 12 will host two regional districts, one in Austin and one in Stillwater.

Oklahoma– The expected 14th national seed, which would have them host regionally in Stillwater with SE Missouri, Arkansas and Dallas Baptiste.
Oklahoma – Seed number 2 expected in the regional college station. Frog fans will be happy if TCU can avoid College Station Regional. This season, Oklahoma has been the surprise team in the Big 12 and could explode on A&M.
TCUThe #2 seed expected in the Gainesville area.
Texas – The predicted No. 9 national seed, which would have them host regionally in Austin with Texas State, Louisiana Tech, and Oral Roberts.
Texas Tech – Predicted No. 2 seed in the Coral Gables Regional where she will likely face No. 7 Miami.
