Texas A&M set to host

Although the NCAA selection bid won’t be until Monday for the 2022 college baseball tournament, the 16 host locations were revealed Sunday night.

However, none of the seeds for those host sites have been announced. So while we know where the regional rounds will be, the top eight seeds that can be guaranteed to host a regional super are still a bit of a mystery.

Texas A&M is one of the teams that has been revealed as the host school, though. This means that Aggies is one of the top 16 national seeds and that there will be regional action at College Station in Blue Bell Park next weekend.

This isn’t a remote surprise as Aggies (37-18, 19-11 SEC) has been a lock to be a host for quite some time now. That position was only cemented by a run to the semi-finals of the SEC Championship, before Saturday night’s loss to Florida ended with an A&M time in that category.

Now, the big question remains whether the Aggies will be in the top eight National Rankings. Although the team’s RPI is at number 20 at the moment, it is widely expected that the A&M will be one of those top eight Nationals. Maroon and White won the SEC West race and had the second best record in the entire conference. They have won eight of their 10 SEC Series in the season, including the last seven in a row. They are also one of the most exciting teams in the country and showed that in the SEC Championship with a base-running victory over Florida in their opening match before putting 12 times over Alabama in Game Two.

Texas A&M fans will have to wait for the full arcs to be revealed on Monday morning to find out exactly what the Aggies have got, but they can rest easy knowing it’s almost certainly one of the top eight. This means that as long as A&M wins its territory, College Station will host the Super Regional the following weekend. Sunday morning, before the start of the closing conference of the championships at the state level, D1Baseball Predicted Aggies As the No. 5 seed overall in the tournament. It matches A & M’s order of Human opinion polls last Monday.

This will be the first time the Aggies have hosted a regional district since 2016. The Aggies hosted a regional super in 2017, but only after winning a territory on the road in Houston and seeing Davidson pull off a surprise in his regional as well. Texas A&M had reached 14 consecutive NCAA Championships before missing out on the field a year ago.

The NCAA Baseball Championship is divided into three distinct rounds. The first is the regional weekend. This is when four teams in each position play in a double elimination format. This weekend’s winner advances to Super Regionals. This round is the best of a series of three as the winner heads to the College World Series. The College World Series sees eight teams head to Omaha, Neb. , in the form of a double cancellation. The tournament, then, is the best of a series of three featuring the two finalists.

In addition to Texas A&M, the remaining 16 host teams for the tournament are Auburn, East Carolina, Florida, South Georgia, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Southern Miss, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia Tech.

The NCAA Championship Selection Show will be broadcast Monday at 11am CET on ESPN2. The final field of 64 will be announced next, so you’ll discover the Texas A&M national seeded as well as the other three teams in each region. The region to be matched with Super Regionals will also be revealed.

The NCAA Regionals are set Friday, June 3 through Monday, June 6. Super Regionals are set Friday, June 10 through Monday, June 13. From 17 to Monday 27 June.
