Felicia, MacLaura, and Martin meet for dinner at Metro Court Gardens. Felicia and McMaxi were supposed to meet, but she was called away. Laura tells them Kevin will stop later so they should join them for a glass.
Mac and Felicia head to their table, and Martin and Laura discuss the fact that their brother wasn’t the one behind the attack on them. Laura thinks it was Victor, and that she was the real target. She also believes that Victor had a role in Luke’s murder. Martin asks why Victor is running free, so she explains that WSB thinks Jennifer Smith killed Luke. She knows Jennifer Smith wouldn’t do something like that, and she would prove that Victor was behind it. First, though, she believes she has found a way to deport Victor.
At their table, Felicia wants to order champagne to celebrate Billy’s clean health statement, and because they are grandparents. She also wants to toast even the clothes she gave Ryan. Mac exclaims, “What did you do?” Felicia explained that she had to tell him he lost, and she won. Felicia reveals the fact that she told him that he was a helpless madman and deserved to be forgotten.
Victor Spencer salutes as he works his last shift at Kelly. Spencer locks the door to lock as Victor offers to find him a better job at one of his companies. Spencer thanks him but his eyes are on something else. Victor asks where is he staying now after he accepted Ava’s bribe. Spencer reveals that Ava asked him to stay at Windermere to mend his relationship with his father. Victor is happy to hear this so he knows my name will stay there too. Spencer explains that he has his reasons for keeping her so close. Victor is concerned that her continued existence will hinder his reconciliation with his father. Spencer jokes about two people who hate each other, he and his grandmother have a lot of the same opinions.
Spencer knows Esme can be a lot, but he needs it. Victor reminds him that this is the girl who lied about being afraid of getting pregnant. Spencer knows exactly who Esme is, and soon the world sees who she is. Victor hopes Spencer is safe because they don’t really need her in the family’s way. Spencer assures Victor that he is being careful, and reveals that he is planning to surprise Esme by locating her parents. He believes that part of the problems of his abandonment stem from giving in, and no one is in a position to give her what she wants, except perhaps his Uncle Victor. He asks for Victor’s help in locating her parents. Victor warns him that this might explode in his face, but it will help him. He will communicate with some contacts about Esme.
At the general hospital, Esme goes to see Kevin and says she needs his help, and that her future depends on it. She was accepted into PCU in the fall, and she is focusing on psychology. However, she is required to apply for admission to their programme, which is a very competitive programme. She has a topic for her amateur case study article and she needs his help because she’s on Ryan. He told her curtly that she would have to write this without his help. He reminds her that he actually prevented her from seeing his brother because he knows what Ryan could do. She scoffs that his brother is a legitimate subject and thinks his refusal to help her is personal. He again advised her to stay away from Ryan.
Esme only has one question, and he wonders if Ryan is able to form a real relationship with someone. Kevin sighs that he should have dinner, but Esme stops and asks again if Ryan has formed an honest bond with another human, and if not, is this something genetic. Kevin asks if this is for her appointment, or something more personal. She admits that she does not know who her biological parents are, so she begins to wonder what she may have inherited. She knows she has offended half of the city, she has hardly any friends, and she fears that something is wrong with her. Ryan assures her that she is not a narcissistic sociopath like Ryan. Kevin tells her that Ryan has a way of making people believe what he wants them to believe, and even he’s one of the most dangerous people ever. Kevin has to go, so Esme leaves.
Trina is on the phone with Joss talking about my name as she enters her front door. There she finds Curtis, Taggart, and Portia waiting for her. Trina tells Joss that she will have to call her back. Trina asks what is going on, they tell her that they are upset about this as it is. Portia mobilized forces for her in view of the Title IX resolution. Trina tells them he is fine and feels much better. Portia wonders what happened to change her attitude about the angry messages she sent this afternoon. Trina reveals for the first time that she feels that things might go in her favour.
Trina fills them in when laying her head with Joss, and they find another angle to explore. Portia thinks they should call Jordan, but Trina doesn’t want the cops involved yet. Curtis suspects that she and Gus have actually chased that lead. Trina asks them not to get angry and tells them the whole story about the stove phone, the waiter on The High Side, and the fight that erupted. Taggart is angry, and Portia wishes Trina could come to them. However, her mother admitted that she found evidence. Taggart is disappointed in her. Portia points out that they couldn’t help Trina, so she found a way to help herself, and they should be proud of her. Taggart explains what she did and it scares him, but he will always be proud of her. They hug, and Portia decides to order pizza and put some snacks together until she arrives. Taggert goes to help her in the kitchen, and once Trina confesses on her own to Curtis that her parents were right and that tonight he could have headed south. Curtis says but he doesn’t. He also says that what she did is exactly what he would have done in her position, and she has the guts.
At the command post, Valentine confirms that this is a date. Anna asks if he is worried if they don’t talk about espionage, they will find that they have nothing in common. He doesn’t feel that way and hopes he won’t disappoint her. She said he didn’t, so he asked her to tell Felicia because she had been hit for avoiding her. Anna asks why was he away. He told her he had a lot on his plate, and nothing to do with her. He grabs her hair and eventually pulls her into a kiss. He asks if she wants to skip the second feature. She wonders if this is an inappropriate offer. Valentine tells her to say the word and he will do whatever she wants.
Valentine returns later with a bowl of her buttered popcorn. She told him his phone had received a text while he was gone, but she didn’t look. Kidding, “Keep secrets from me?” He looks at the message and it’s Martin, whose text tells him to call him right away. He plays it as her ELQ business. Valentine asks for a second date, and she accepts. The next movie starts White House. I m happy.
Returning to The Metro Court Gardens, Laura reveals her plans to get Victor out of the country for Martin, which will distance him from Nicholas and Spencer, and delay the mysterious project he keeps talking about. Kevin arrives and Felicia and Mac go to see them. Martin apologized to himself for a moment, and Mac told everyone that Felicia confronted Ryan today. Felicia insists she had to tell him he wouldn’t take any property in her head without rent. Kevin thinks it was her abode, and in his case, Ryan can’t hurt anyone. She explains that he can blink recently and that his assistance Esme helped her communicate with him. Kevin is upset, and eventually tells Laura that he needs to take care of something and will have to get over his nightly energy. Once he leaves, Felicia wonders why he’s so angry. Laura explains that Esme was supposed to be banned from seeing Ryan. Later, Laura receives a call from Alexis who warns her that something has fallen on her desk, that something catastrophic is going to happen tomorrow and she doesn’t think she can stop it.
Esme arrives at Kelly’s, and Spencer tells Victor not to say anything about his plans because he doesn’t want to get her hopes up. Victor justifies himself and leaves, and Esme tells Spencer that they must go home.
Outside, Kevin encounters Victor. Victor could see by the expression on Kevin’s face that someone had bothered him and hoped it wasn’t Spencer. This time Kevin says the company he’s keeping is the problem.
Inside, Esme spotted Kevin outside and heads out to see him. She explains that Kelly is closed. Kevin confronts her by seeing his brother, even after he warns her to stay away from him. He made calls, finished her internship, and she was denied entry to the facility. Esme is furious as Kevin tells her, “From now on you’ll never see Ryan again.”
