Former Louisville star Angel McCutry is back at “my best.”

Louisville, Kentucky – Angel McCutry leaves no doubt. She will not leave.

Repairs to the knees prevent her from jumping as high or moving as fast as she did before. Injuries, surgeries, and rehabilitation have prevented her from playing more than two games in three of her last four seasons in the WNBA.

The qualities that once made her an elite in the game have eroded so much that Minnesota Lynx opted to purchase her contract last month.

At 35, the former University of Louisville All-America is a five-star WNBA All-Star, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and one of the biggest no-mile agents in the women’s basketball market.

And after.

“I have a lot of basketball to play,” she said. “I’ll know when it’s time to retire.”
