Over/Under 8.0 times win

Analytics: The Defenders of the Big 12 Champions have lost some key pieces in the NFL, but there are many reasons to believe the Bears will still be the Big 12. Baylor is the strongest team in the trenches on both ends after losing only one contributor between the offensive and defensive lines. Defense line Apu Ika and Jaxon Player have a chance to be among the best duo in the country. Finding new names in running back and a broad future could determine if the Bears can make it to the College Football Playoff, but the pieces are intriguing. Selection: more than 8.0 (-115)

Over/Under 6.5 times win

  • Wins: Southeast MissouriAnd the Ohioin Kansas, Kansas, West Virginia, Texas Tech
  • losses: in YesBaylor, in Texas, Oklahoma, in Oklahoma, in TCU

Analytics: The Hurricanes squandered perhaps the most talented roster in program history during the incredibly frustrating 2021 season, entering 2022 as an enigma. Iowa State coach Matt Campbell led the program to the greatest success period in program history during a notable six-year stint, but now he has to continue the momentum without program mainstays like Brooke Purdy, Mike Rose and Greg Isworth II. Campbell His roster will be trained and ready for eligibility, but this will be a team in transition. Pick up: less than 6.5 (-115)

more / less than 2.5

  • Wins: Tennessee TechAnd the dukeTCU
  • losses: In West Virginia, in HoustonIowa, in Oklahoma, in Baylor, Oklahoma, in Texas Tech, Texas, in Kansas

Analytics: It’s time to start talking about Kansas like a real soccer team. The Jayhawks made headlines for upsetting the Texans, but a 57-56 win in overtime was just one go from QB Jalon Daniels’ brilliant finish to Lance Leipold’s debut season. The Jayhawks gave Oklahoma a panic before Caleb Williams pulled out some late-game championships. Later, KU lost to TCU and West Virginia by a combined nine-point difference in their last two games of the year. Kansas is about to destroy a dirty opponent with a sharp execution. TCU is optional, for now. Don’t be surprised if the Jayhawks compete for even four wins. Selection: more than 2.5 (-135)

Kansas State

Over/Under 6.5 times win

  • Wins: South DakotaAnd the MissouriAnd the Tolenin Oklahoma, Texas Tech, in TCU, Texas, in West Virginia, Kansas
  • losses: In Iowa, Oklahoma, in Baylor

Analytics: The Wildcats are the lowest-ranked team in the Big 12 by a mile. Kansas State boasts the best offensive and defensive players in the conference. Running back Deuce Vaughn was quiet silly Sophomore season with 1,872 melee yards and 22 touchdowns. Defensive end Felix Anodic-Uzuma had more sacks last season than any player returning from the Power Five other than Will Anderson. Transitional midfielder Adrian Martinez presents a wild card that could give the Wildcats maximum ascendancy if all goes well. smashed it more. Selection: more than 6.5 (-160)

Over/Under 9.5 times win

  • Wins: UTEPAnd the Kent Statein Nebraskain TCU, Kansas, in Iowa, Baylor, in West Virginia, Oklahoma
  • losses: Kansas State, Texas, in Texas Tech

Analytics: The Sooners have been a 10-win machine throughout almost the entire National Unified Championship era. Led by Lincoln Riley and Bob Stops, the Sooners have fallen below 10 wins just four times, not counting the 2020 Covid-shortened season. However, Brent Venables is starting from scratch in some ways, which makes dropping Oklahoma more difficult than ever. There are real speed bumps along the way, even if the Sooners managed tough matches against last year’s Big 12 Championship participants at Baylor and Oklahoma State. At least in 2022, this isn’t an OU squad that beats the rest. Selection: less than 9.5 (-115)

Over/Under 9 wins

  • Wins: Central MichiganAnd the ArizonaUAPB, Texas Tech, in TCU, Texas, in Kansas, in Kansas, Iowa, West Virginia
  • losses: In Baylor, Oklahoma

Analytics: Oklahoma State was the Big 12 class until the final of the Big 12 Championship in 2021 and is supposed to return for revenge in 2022. While defensive coordinator Jim Knowles has left Ohio State, Cowboys added veteran SEC assistant Derek Mason in his place. Quarterback Spencer Sanders is entering his fourth year as a defensive start and finish leading Colin Oliver in what should be a fearsome unit once again. The defense won’t be like a nationally elite with a handful of departures, but OSU has the strength to get back into the Big 12 — perhaps even against the same opponent. Pick: more than 9 (+110)

Over/Under 9 wins

  • Wins: ULM, UTSAin Texas Tech, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Iowa, TCU, in Kansas
  • losses: Alabamain Oklahoma, in Kansas, Baylor

Analytics: The Texas hype train arrived at the station just in time, like Longhorns Preferred early bet To win the Big 12 title for the first time since 2009. Quinn Ewers gives the Longhorns one of the quarterback’s most inductive recruits ever, while Bijan Robinson enters 2022 as a potential competitor to Heisman. However, the defense did not get many reinforcements after the 5-7 season and the offensive line is still an issue. It is possible to push the nine wins mark, but there is actually more value in assuming less than expecting 10 wins in a regular season for the first time since Colt McCoy was in Austin. Selection: less than 9.0 (-125)

more / less than 6.5

  • Wins: in ColoradoTarleton, in SMU, Texas Tech, Iowa
  • losses: Oklahoma, in Kansas, in Oklahoma, in Kansas, in West Virginia, in Texas, in Baylor

Analytics: The Horned Frogs are a mystery after a new coach was appointed for the first time since Gary Patterson was promoted to the highest position 20 years ago. Sonny Dykes completed a miraculous makeover in SMU And she led the Mustang to 10 wins for the first time since 1984 – before the death penalty. The TCU is presenting its own challenges in the Big 12 rough-and-tumble. Transfers will help ease the transition, but Dykes still has to repair a broken defense and a poorly managed offense. His first year will see some exciting hikes, but it’s likely to be a mid-end. Choose: under 6.5 (+110)

Texas Tech

more / less than 5

  • Wins: Murray StateWest Virginia, Kansas, Oklahoma
  • losses: Houston, in NC, in Texas, in Kansas, in Oklahoma, in Baylor, in TCU, in Iowa

Analytics: Joey McGuire’s first year at Texas Tech will be a lot of fun. Results may vary, though, especially with the grueling non-conference schedule that could feature Houston’s top 10 opponents and North Carolina Followed by Texas to open Big 12 play. Several of the most manageable games are on the road—Iowa, Kansas and TCU—while Big 12 favorites Texas, Oklahoma, and Baylor are all coming to town. The Red Raiders will steal one of those three home games. Beating Oklahoma for the first time since 2011 to end the year would have set Lubbock on fire, even with a 4-8 season. Pick: Less than 5 (-135)

West Virginia

more / less than 5.5

  • Wins: kansas, Tosonin Virginia TechBaylor, University of California
  • losses: In Pete, In Texas, In Texas Tech, In Iowa, Oklahoma, Kansas, In Oklahoma

Analytics: The Mountaineers laid out a masterclass on how to create the worst possible schedule imaginable for a coach on the hot seat. West Virginia plays hated competitors Pete and Virginia Tech at the non-conference. After the Hokies, the Mountaineers play Texas and Baylor in back-to-back weeks. In November, the WVU played Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Iowa. Maybe he ends up casting QB JT Daniels into really being the savior, but oh my gosh, any shred of weakness would kill Neil. brouwn. Pick up: less than 5.5 (-125)
